Atmospheres
2016 - Project developed with Mégane Rodrigues, Justine Lecomte and Hélène Berlemont
In the heart of Brussels, dynamic capital of Belgium exists a place where reigns calm and serenity out of the noises of the city, the park Woluwe. This is why in the vegetation we have imagined a place that would allow us to find each other and to meet spirituality.
The intention of the project is to set up in the park without denaturalised it, the goal being to create a place of recollection in the heart of nature. The architectural creation here is made around something immaterial, the light. The project intends to use the light as an existing material of the architecture, it will allow to create a particular atmosphere instead and bring a certain serenity.
The project consists of a central intimisated space thanks to the superposition of different cladding layers as well as a peripheral circulation to this space, creating an isolated core from the outside. These spaces, experienced as zones of transitions, also allow the creation of places in retreat where everyone can be alone in the face of nature.
The essence of the project lies here in the structure, it is itself that will allow the creation of lighting effects, giving a special atmosphere to the place.
