The mid-study is a traditional party organized by the architecture school of Tournai. Formerly for Saint-Luc (multidisciplinary school of Tournai), the tradition continues with the Catholic University of Louvain in Tournai located in the city center. This event is a project realized by the third years of architecture, to celebrate half of their studies and to show the evolution of their learning. The idea is to federate the various promotions of the school of architecture, as well as to bring together the students of the different sections of studies. Today, the goal is also to bring together the neighborhood of the school and invite them into our architectural universe.
Thus, during a day we transform the school premises according to a chosen theme. So we designed all the sets and costumes around the theme of "Pirates of the Caribbean". During 4 months we therefore prepared the event: from the research of the financing to the harvesting of the materials, we could experience the organization of a small building site, from the design to the manufacture which lasted 2 weeks.
